This cooler is great for outdoor gatherings with the built in speakers. The cooler itself is just like the classic Igloos, just with some speakers slapped on the side. The sound quality is good enough and the volume gets loud enough for small gatherings. It also charges via USB-C which is a huge plus. This won't compete with a JBL sitting atop your Yeti, but it will look "Kool"-er than that and costs much less. It's a bit pricey for what it is, but it's truly a throwback nostalgic item. We have an old red cooler like this style and we still use it today and it's over 20 years old and we take it camping for overnight trips. It was fun to get an updated version with a speaker looking cool and we can easily sync it to our phone and charges easily with the provided USB cord, but you do have to have your own brick. The sound is just okay though, probably better speakers than this, but it brings the looks and great conversation starter for sure. This is a great cooler for taking to the beach, picnics, traveling, and boating. It’s lightweight enough to carry further than the newer heavier more efficient coolers. I have a Yeti roughly the same size and find myself taking this Igloo KoolTunes Boombox Cooler more often. I find I most often need this size cooler for just keeping thingscool for hours and not days. It doesn’t hold ice nearly as long, but I many times don’t need it to. It will out last a kids soccer or baseball game. It has the original flip down lid that is easy and convenient. The added speakers is really nice. They aren’t Bose, but have nice sound for the size and price. It is nice to have the music and cooler in one. Overall it’s lighter and more affordable than the top of the line coolers. I can drink the cooler dry before my drinks have a change to get hot. If I’m going for a day this is my pick, if I’m going for any longer than that, I break my back on a Yeti.Of all the stuff that has been brought back from the 80s, this is actually a really fun and useful one! This reboot of KoolTunes, originally released in 1989, looks just like the original did - from the design of the cooler to the handle to the speakers. So cool! (No pun intended, but it works, so let's go with it!)They did a great job capturing this item's retro spirit while still bringing it into the 21st century - the speaker is Bluetooth. It's easy to connect to, sounds great, and is just plain a lot of fun to use. Perfect for the beach, camping, a lake trip, or anywhere! It is a smaller cooler (just like the OG version was) but it holds quite a bit and you can easily have enough drinks in here for 2 people (and some snacks too)The speakers' sound is surprisingly good for a cooler - I would say better than the original's sound was (and I would hope so given that tech has evolved a LOT since 1989 LOL)If you grew up in the 80s/90s, this will definitely bring back some nostalgia for you. Would make a great gift, too. I highly recommend it!
