I purchased two of these coolers when I bought a new fridge to ensure my current fridge contents didn't spoil while the new fridge was set up and was able to cool down to its operating temps. My experience with the Igloo brand with other coolers has been mixed over the years but they get high marks for this one. It is durable, has easy to use handles, a much improved latch system and overall seems more rugged than past coolers I have purchased from them. The best part is that it kept bags of ice frozen or near frozen for 5 days inside a 75 degree house and 3 days inside an up to 110 degree garage. I only opened the lid to peek to see if the ice had started to melt. On the third day for the one in the garage, the ice was just starting to melt inside the bags that I purchased them in. The one in the house was still completely solid! It took 9 days for the ice in the house to completely melt and roughly 6 for the ice in the garage to completely melt. I would definitely use this on a camping trip without hesitation. I do recommend this product.This cooler is very durable and extremely well insulated. Keeps things cold for 2 days on one bag of ice. Great for camping, parties or anywhere a refrigerator isn’t available whether in direct sun or shade. Handles that are easy to hold & strong enough for a heavy load.I bought 2 coolers and in one I used dry ice and the other I used block ice The. block of ice lasted longer than the dry ice.Put it where you want it before you fill it, hard to move when it's full.(when you're moving it by yourself) maybe put it on a wagon or something.It might say keep ice cold for 5 days but unless it's kept indoors where it's temperature controlled it barely lasts 2 days outdoors in the shade, keep that in mind if you plan to use it camping like I did. It could use better latches but other than that it's your basic cooler.No commentsPerfect as described and shipped on time thank you!Big cooler and insulated very wellI have not used this yet but the strap that keeps the lid up has come off. It is fixed with a screw and when I put it back in it just comes out. Given the price paid for this I would have expected better quality.Nice large box. Sturdy construction bit the clips to hold the lid shut and flimsy and riveted on so I expect them to snap off and need to be upgraded some time soon. I think this type of product is very over priced for what it is! They just whack up the price on anything connect to sports or leisureWe bought this not quite 2 years ago to use in our woods for summertime camping, so we have not used it that much and it has stayed in the same position, not being moved about the whole time. The cooler is great, giving us extra room especially for friends visiting... but when it arrived I noticed how flimsy the 3 plastic back hinges were. So we were really careful with them and tried not to open the main part too much... Well now hinges are broken (see pics) and to replace costs around £20 (for only 2 stainless steel hinges, not 3) as they come from USA with tax and shipping. If it was not covid and I had access to my tools I would make the hinges myself! Very annoyed that Igloo do not make their coolers with the better hinges to start with instead of the crap they use - knowing we will have to buy the better quality replacements (which igloo stock) sooner or later. Very dissapointed, I would rather pay £20 pounds up front and not have the hassle of trying to use a broken cooler because the hinges break.It’s very poor quality : the plastic retaining “ buttons “ for the lid closure are fixed on by two self tapping screws which merely screw into the body which is is thin plastic .They fell off on first use & I repaired them by using a tiny drop of superglue . The secondary access in the main lid is dreadful & cannot be properly closed as it simply keeps popping up & there is no way to cure that . Finally it in no way even approaches it’s claim of up to five days keeping ice because as it’s happens we had to de frost a freezer & packed all the contents into this new cool box .its just as well we cleaned the freezer out & promptly returned the frozen food because it was under 24 hours & the you could feel the cold on the outside of the cooler as it rapidly lost cold . It’s crap but I’ll just use it as a BBQ cooler for short use events .Used this box for a 60th birthday party. The weather was not hot and used it to keep cool beer and wine along with packs of ice. Needless to say the ice melted very quickly ( within an hour). Beverages stayed cool but swimming in water.Fasteners on the box are very flimsy and don’t feel the lid seals to the box very well.Currently using it as dry storage in my garage.A very expensive storage box!!
